Otonomee, a fully remote Irish outsourcing company, has announced the key appointment of Alan Gleeson as Chief Commercial Officer to support the company’s ambitious growth strategy, targeting €50M by 2028.
The Certified B Corp is one of Ireland’s fastest-growing outsourcing companies and was named in the top 10 of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 in 2025 and shortlisted in the EY Entrepreneurs of the Year Ireland 2025. The company supports leading global brands with complex customer service needs, primarily in wearable health tech, fintech, eCommerce, and software-as-a-service (SaaS). It employs over 650 people, in a fully remote workforce across four continents.
Gleeson brings over 25 years of experience in B2B growth and commercial strategy. He began his career at Barclays, working on strategic alliances during the early days of the dot-com boom.
He went on to hold senior leadership roles in several B2B SaaS companies, including Palo Alto Software and Keelvar, before founding Work with Agility, a boutique consultancy, and has advised over 50 venture capital-backed start-ups and scale-ups across Europe and the US on scaling strategy and market expansion.
After 18 months as part-time Chief Marketing Officer at Otonomee, Alan moved into the full-time role of Chief Commercial Officer in March 2026, where he now leads the company’s next phase of international growth.
Speaking about the appointment, Alan said:
“I am delighted to join Otonomee to lead their next stage of growth. They are one of Ireland’s fastest-growing companies, and with AI already transforming the sector, it is an exciting time to be joining. They have an impressive team, and I look forward to leading the commercial function.”
Otonomee was established during the pandemic to challenge the traditional “big city, big building” BPO model, which ushered in a significant shift in the workplace landscape. Gleeson’s appointment comes as, artificial intelligence, is set to redefine the role of humans in customer experience solutions once again.
Otonomee CEO, Aidan O’Shea commented:
“At a time when the customer service industry is being upended, by the advent of AI, Otonomee is carving out a niche in delivering AI enabled human-led customer services. AI is transforming how customer service works, and we intend to be ahead of the curve. Alan’s appointment marks an important step in our journey to position Otonomee for what lies ahead. Right now, that means being AI-smart, while staying firmly focused on delivering substance amid the hype. Alan’s experience in innovation and SaaS will be an invaluable asset as we continue to grow.”
Otonomee is currently filling several AI-driven roles, including the Head of AI Operations, to ensure that innovation is integrated into its customer experience through the intelligent use of AI in operations.
